What the Pho, second time around

On our way out to run some final errands, we decided to get some lunch so we popped into What the Pho again for a quick bite. The last time we went the noodle soup were great but tad on the oily side. So this time around, we wanted to try something different. We wanted to try the dry noodles that they had. John ordered the crispy duck with dry egg noodles and I had the stir-fry beef fillet with lemongrass, spring rolls and rice noodles.

The egg noodles that John had were delicious with a dark sweet soya sauce and bits of pork fat. The duck was the leg and breast roasted till the skin was crispy and to accompany the duck was a lovely sweet plum sauce.  My rice noodles were full of flavour with beef fillet slices stir-fried with lemongrass and red onions topped with chopped up spring rolls and sliced lettuce leaves.

We also ordered a couple of freshly squeezed fruit juices and it was so refreshing! Great way to cool ourselves on a hot summer day.

The only thing about What the Pho is the service and how long it took for the noodles to be served. We waited for about 20 minutes or so and there wasn’t only a few other tables.
