Joy Cafe

Honey pepper spare ribs with fried rice

29.12.2010

I just wanted to share one of my favourite places to have lunch is Joy Café. I was out and about running errands and got hungry so I popped into Joy Café for a quick bite to eat.

Based on William Street in Northbridge and when you walk into the place, it takes me back to those little eateries in Hong Kong. As one of the only authentic Hong Kong tea houses in Perth, Joy Cafe Restaurant serves authentic Hong Kong style tea and delicious Asian/Hong Kong fusion cuisine. The menu at Joy café if extensive, so many options that sometimes you can get totally confused and don’t know what to order.

What I normally have for lunch at Joy Café is the honey pepper spare ribs with fried rice. The pork spare ribs is tender and coated with a light batter then deep fried then tossed with a decadent honey and pepper sauce perfect with a scoop of fried rice. To quench my thirst, I ordered ice milo to go with my lunch.

Joy Café serves up a pretty good dinner menu as well. Their lobster noodles are delicious and during Chinese New Year, they have banquet menus for 6-10 people with lots of different Chinese New Year options.
